Dr. Hortense LE FERRAND

Dr. Hortense Le Ferrand holds a master and a doctorate degree in Materials Science from ETH Zürich in Switzerland and a diplôme d'Ingénieur from the Grande Ecole ESPCI Paris, France. Her doctoral thesis was acknowledged with several prizes and awards.

After a visiting period in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in Indiana, USA, she obtained funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation to study protein assemblies at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. January 2019, she joined the schools of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) of NTU as an Assistant Professor and was awarded the prestigious NRF fellowship in January 2020.

Prof. K. Palanikumar

Dr. K. Palanikumar is presently working as a Professor and Principal, Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, Chennai-44, India. He completed is Masters Degree in Production Engineering with University FIRST RANK from Annamalai University, and obtained Ph.D Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. He has more than 18 years of Experience in Teaching and Research. He has produced 7 Ph.D scholars as a Supervisor and 1 Ph.D scholar as a Joint Supervisor. He has received “Best Teacher Award” for 3 times and he has received “Best Paper Award” from Indian Society for Non Destructive Testing and Evaluation. He has published more than 100 Papers in SCI Journals having Impact factor. He has also Published/presented more than 200 papers in International and National Conferences. His Google Scholar h-index is 20. He is the life member of Tribology Society of India, Indian Society for Non- Destructive testing (ISNT), Indian Welding Society, Indian Society for Technical Education and Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) and Fellow, Indian Institution of Production Engineers. He is the Associate Editor of “Journal of Modern Manufacturing Technology” and “International Journal of Materials Forming and Machining Processes (IJMFMP)”. His current area of research includes Machining of Composite Materials, Modern Manufacturing, Optimization, Simulation and Modeling.
